P2P-exchange: web-version and telegram-bot
Your crypto assets can be stolen in multiple ways, including hacker attacks and pyramid schemes. This topic deals with a particular case, manifesting 12 safety principles, which tell how to make yourself safe when using exchange bots or P2P exchange by Bitzlato.
First of all, protect your account with a strong and complex password if you perform the transactions with a Telegram bot. It is also advisable to enable two-factor authentication. To do this, move to Telegram settings → Privacy and Security → Two-Step Verification → Set Additional Password.
Create a strong and reliable password and remember it. The app will require you to enter this password and SMS code every time you will try to enter your account with any new device.

NB! Do not record your password elsewhere if you are not sure that you can remember it. Use an alternative valid e-mail address instead when enabling 2FA. Do not forget to confirm your e-mail. The confirmation link will be sent to your e-mail address.

Besides, Privacy and Security tab provides information on all your active sessions. You can abort all suspicious sessions on this tab.
If you are keen on reinforced security, create a separate account for exchange transactions with a new phone number and keep it private. Do not use the same phone number for other wallets (Qiwi or Yandex.Money). Track your contact list. Use the regular phone number to chat with friends and do not add anyone whom you don't know personally.

NB! If you suggest that your account has been hacked, react immediately! Close all active sessions on all devices except for the main phone ASAP. Link your account to another number and change the password.
When signing up with Telegram, please verify your account to be used to perform the transactions with the respective bot.

Unverified users won't be able to restore their accounts and data used in bots in case of hacking.

On the contrary, verified users will be able to unlock their accounts and maintain their rating and references, although they will be still liable for all losses and damages caused by a third-party.
Use trading account solely for trading purposes, do not spam, message actively, and engage in controversy with other users in chats. Two or three claims from other Telegram users are enough to ban your Telegram account with exchange bot rating.
Mind what you're about! Read all bot's messages, comply with trading requirements, and check your correspondents. The scammers often send their account details via the bot without confirming the transaction. If you fail to exercise vigilance, you may credit your cash to scammers' account and won't get anything in return. Remember, the transaction is secured only if it is executed via the bot.
Compare the offered exchange rate with the market rate before accepting the transaction (you can set up the rate displaying in bot's settings.) The wrong rate is not a sufficient cause to get your money back.
Always check cash receipts directly in online banking or mobile banking app. Do not believe push notifications or short codes. Close the transaction and send coins only being 100% sure about cash receipt.
Never send coins if you are not sure about cash receipt, even if your counterparty sends you direct messages with confirmations/requests/screenshots/warnings/or threats. Avoid reacting to provocations, be overcautious. In case of dispute, initiate an arbitration.
Do not execute the transactions beyond the bot, as it acts as the guarantor. Execute the transactions using the bot, even if you have already traded with someone whom you know. Unfortunately, account stealing is a common practice. Therefore, you cannot trust your counterpart 100% at any one time.
Communicate only via the bot, especially if someone sends you direct messages. The arbitration board will refuse to allow evidence in the form of conversations beyond the bot (including screenshots, etc.) in case of disputes. Honest exchange users feel free to communicate via the bot. There are no reasons to negotiate the transactions in direct messages in the absence of violations.
Remember, it is a common practice to be requested to send a card photo on the background of conversation in the bot. The photo shall contain the first four and the last four digits. You are free to mask the rest data and not to provide it even if requested by the counterparty. This data is not required to perform the transaction. However, scammers can use the cardholder name and card number to withdraw cash via some e-commerce websites. Please, never take a photo of card's backside with your CVV code.
Be careful. Unfortunately, the scammers can use fake exchange and support bots. Use only original bots! Check our bots before executing any transactions.
